From what I can tell from these gifs, he’s got quite a good seat. His lower leg looks pretty secure. Bravo, Mr Cumberbatch! Though someone get him a bloody hat that fits, for the love of God.   

1) Beauiful horse

2) Horribly ill-fitting hat (it’s a good thing he’s secure up there; if he fell off that hat wouldn’t help much!)
